Andy, Soren, and others,
I am also looking for a group, and a weekly one at that.
Don't get me wrong, but once a month is too long to wait to
jump back in game. I could maybe do twice a month.
After playing for a block of 7 years, i haven't gamed regularly
in a while. So a brush up might be wanted, but not needed.
Also, I am down with 2nd/3.1/3.5...
since i feel 4th edition is kinda a low blow for hard-core fans.
They kinda took out the deep customazation/creation..
and kinda simplified/watered it down..
and instead of spells/skills/racial abilities..
you now have a list of set abilities that you can do 3 in one round..
a (Standard), (Minor), then a (Move) action, in no order.
i dont know.. it just feels like they sucked the "deep" part of D&D out.
So uh.. i guess i rambled here. And some of it may not even be correct. but..
yeah. uh.. i CAN DM.. but i have the most fun being a PC.. so thats what i prefer.
and i live in Downtown Portland. And im willing to travel a little.. if it means
joining/creating a group that i can ACTUALLY play with.. and not just drool at the
thought of maybe playing again... someday.
so yes.. get back to me. Later.

Oh... and it always helps to have at least one female in the mix.. They got a different kind of
brain/way of thinking. Keeps the game fresh..
and i dont know.. im all for roleplay.. but most guys cant pull off a female char.. without that..
ew.. creepy vibe..
or not.... or not.
but eh.. do what you can
wish me luck on a group!

Andy and others, I am also looking for a weekday D&D 2nd or 3rd edition game. I am willing to DM but would rather be a PC. I'm 34, and been playing or dabbling in role playing games for over 20 years. Not a fan of 4th edition D&D. I live in NE Portland but would be willing to travel 20 minutes or so by car. I am up for story heavy role playing, hack and slash dungeon crawl, whatever, as long as rules can be flexed once in a while for the benefit of a fun game. And I think PC death is a good thing.

Hi all.
I am 55 years old and have been playing for about 35 years. I was out for awhile than back in and the group I was with has broken up due to some out of state moves.
I am looking for a weeknight game (Can host) And a weekend (preferably Sunday) game even though I am teaching at PSU every other weekend until February. Then I am done.
I prefer the old school games like Dragonquest, Pendragon, D&D 2.0 but I did enjoy 3.1. Havent tried 4.0 yet.
If you know of a game or are interestred in sarting one let's talk.
Thanks
Andy
