Introduction

I've been in PDX since September '08. I work and live SE with my girlfriend for a year now, she doesn't play sadly. I am enjoying Portland thus far. I enjoy concerts, drinks, coffee (been working in that industry a decade), and being social.

Tell everyone about YOUR current (or ideal) game.

Any dungeons and dragons game. I have always enjoyed Forgotten Realms, Planescape, and Darksun settings. The latter two aren't really around any longer. I am familiar with 3.5 and slightly with 4th. I have PHB for both editions plus a few others.

What is your favorite class in any system? Why?

I've always enjoyed playing rogues. I haven't had much experience w/ magic using characters (wouldn't touch them for the first half of my gaming experience). I have recently had a lot of fun w/ a cleric (of Kelemvor), never thought I'd see the day.

What balance do you like to see in your game towards RP and Combat? 50-50? 70-30?

I enjoy a even mix of the both, sometimes too much of a focus on either one can derail a group. Ultimately it comes down to the group, and more importantly their ability to work well with a DM/GM to keep the game rolling.

How many players do you prefer in your group?

4 or 5 players (in addition to a GM/DM). Much more than that can become chaotic in my experience.

How long have you been gaming?

I have played D&D since around 93. The past eight years have been spent playing at a much less frequent rate due to moving away. I am familiar w/ AD&D 2nd Edition and 3.5 primarily and have played 4th edition for the past year.
