I believe Paizo has developed an amazing community of gamers. They also have the best writers. So if it is Pathfinder, I will play. After that, I prefer creative, flexible home-brews.
It doesn't matter. I love to explore characters, if they happen to be a Paladin, fine, an assassin, fine. I have played Conjurists and Diviners. I definitely stay away from over-powered characters. A good flaw builds character.
I like to think of gaming as Story-telling. So I guess I would land more on the role-playing end. Which is fortunate as I am an actor/director/writer/designer.
DM + 4 - 6. Depends on the Gaming system and if there are any Prima Donnas.
Hmmmm. 5th and 6th grade. Skip. Freshman to Senior, high school. Skip. Started up again in 98. What is that? 16 + years.
The Pathfinder format lends itself well to meetup role playing. The enveloping story of the Pathfinder society encourages the kind of small group interactions that we all love about RPGs. On your own you can develop a character that has a life of its own and still fit in seamlessly to the adventure. Great work Paizo.

"I am old enough to have played Chainmail with a group of guys in Anchorage, back in 77. I immediately launched into the pamphlet, original edition. We were soooo excited when the hardcover Monster Manual came out...."
"Michael, Could you send me a iist of duties to organize the meet up? I would be willing to take it on."
