Looking for beginning/inexperien
ced players ready to stick their toes in the pool in an ongoing casual session (in terms of rules, not commitment) I will be DMing.
I'm working on a campaign to be played with a simplified d20 ruleset. This is a gritty, dark fantasy world inspired somewhat by R.E. Howard and Lovecraft, full of intrigue, ancient mysteries, and a desperate struggle against soul-devouring evil...
I gravitate towards Rogues in D&D, Drifters in Traveller, Scoundrels in Star Wars... basically any character with a healthy disrespect for authority and a preference for sneaking around instead of a fair fight, to paraphrase Han Solo.
50-50 max... if there's any more combat you might as well be playing a MMORG on the computer by yourself.
4-5.
Just got back into it, but did it for many years 25+ years ago---shout out to 1st Ed AD&D, Top Secret, Car Wars, Gamma World, and all the other great RPGs of the '80s!

"How about Microlite20 + choice bits from d20 Future and d20 Cyberscape?"
"It does, but IMHO that's not saying much. Shadowrun's a great setting but a horrendously overcomplicated rule system...."
"Hi Andrew! Great ideas! I think you can get a lot of mileage out of religious or quasi-religious elements in an SF setting; for example, the Dune universe wouldn't be the same without the Bene Gesserit order...."
