What's being run

The schedule of LARP's run by 5th Wall gaming can be found at their site

During our noon to 4:00pm session choose from the following games.

Living Forgotten Realms: RPGA scenario SPEC 1-3: These game is for 4th Ed D&D characters level 4-7. Please check the ORC forums and ask the DM of this game what is required to play in an RPGA sanctioned game. Six players maximum for this game.

Honeycomb Engine: Two short games showcasing the storytelling capabilities of Corvus's Honeycomb Engine game system. Five players maximum per game.

Call of Cthulu: The Saga of Thorgrim Raven-Chaser. Gary McBride will be running us through this one, san-check ahead! Six players maximum for this game.

4th Edition D&D: A 4th edition game run by Kameron to round out the noon session of RPG's. Six players maximum for this game. The adventure will be a seasonal-themed dungeon delve featuring marauding gnomes, a red-nosed minotaur, and a villain whose maniacal laughter is guaranteed to make even the most heroic adventurer's knees shake like bowls full of jelly.

Gladiator Games: Player versus player action in the arena. Rules for character creation can be found on the ORC forums. Teams of four eleventh level characters face off against each other to determine the victor. Sure you can beat NPC's and monsters with your superior tactics, but do you have what it takes to defeat gamers as hardcore as you are?

Miniature Speedpainting Contest: Jack from dicepool.com will bring the miniatures, bring your paints and other materials. The first hour of the contest will be prep, hours two and three for painting, and during hour four the judging will take place. Winner will get a $10 gift certificate for Guardian games but also, and most important, bragging rights!

From 4:00pm to 5:00pm we will have our first raffle of the event.

During our 5:00pm to 9:00pm we will have the following games available.

Living Forgotten Realms: RPGA Scenario MYRE 1-3: This game is for 4th Edition D&D characters of levels 7-10. Please check with the DM of this game, via the ORC forums, for information regarding RPGA sanctioned games. Six players maximum for this game.

First Edition AD&D: Aaron (aka 1st edition Aaron) will be running this game. Six players maximum.

4th Edition D&D, The Caverns of Steel: Gary McBride will be running this one. In his own words "The latest edition of Dungeons and Dragons meets "Expedition to the Barrier Peaks"". Six Players maximum for this game.

Shadowrun 4th Edition: David Blalock will run up to six players through a scenario using the latest edition of Shadowrun.

9:00pm to close we will raffle off any remaining items on the raffle table.

Who attended?

  • 17 attendees
    •  Not that many people showed up. Alot of work went into it for so few people to show up and so many to RSVP and then no show.
    •  Had a fun time running my 4E game. The raffle format may need to be rethought.
    •  Well planned, a nice variety of role playing games to choose from.
    •  I think this year was a smash hit. I had alot of fun, both in the C0C game (thanks Gary) and in the Shadowrun game i ran (thanks everyone that played). I can't weight until next year. we should throw another game day in like 3 months.
    • Elminster's Apprentice
I got to guardians early and had to leave after dropping off some books and minis for the raffle
    • Jim
      Grillmaster
Had a great time, it was good to see how many people wanted to come and help us raise money for SMART again this year. Thank you everyone who attended and a special thank you to everyone that ran a game for the event.
    •  I had a great time. Both sessions went really well. I hope next year we can do it again!
